Ultimate Soccer Manager 2

In 1999, Impressions released the sequel to Ultimate Soccer Manager in the form of Ultimate Soccer Manager 2. The game play of USM2 is primarily the same as USM1, however, it updates some of the team information, and the user interface is jazzed up and friendlier.
The player has a choice of managing a team in the English, German or French leagues, each with reasonably accurate teams and cups available to win.

After choosing the league in which you will be managing a team, Ultimate Soccer Manager 2 becomes a sports micromanaging dream, with the user controlling each bit of minutia involved with running a soccer club. The user basically sets the team’s roster by choosing which players get hired and who gets the hook. Players can be traded to other teams. In the first version of the game, the players were all fictitious, whereas Ultimate Soccer Manager 2 features players that were accurate at the time the game was released. Each player comes with individual statistics, which determine how the player does everything from pass to shoot. The stats also determine the player’s position on the field. If statistics drop too low, a player is considered injured and must be rested instead of played. You are also in charge of training, and you double as the equipment manager.
Aside from managing the individual players, the user will also choose defensive and offensive tactics for his team. The user can also take control of individual players, giving them specific orders during a play. The user hires the appropriate staff and coach in order to lead the players to victory. He is in charge of choosing a location and purchasing a stadium. The user also controls every facet of the stadium itself.
In summary, Ultimate Soccer Manager 2 is a game of ultimate possibilities. There is so much to manage and so many details, that the user certainly has to be on top of his game. Even though the players are several years out of date, it is still fun to build a powerhouse team and lead them to championships. This is a great management simulation and should be challenging for even the most detail-oriented sports fanatic. I highly recommend downloading this wonderful game!
