SimTower

I started playing Sim Tower way back in the day I think I was 9! Now after 10 years I downloaded it and can still play it! A fantastic Sim game and even after 10 years it’s a lot of fun to play. The game play is simple and the graphics are great for 1995, comparable to games like Sim City 3000 and others that came way after.

With smooth shinny, rounded surfaces, your elevators seem to come out of your screen and force you to become entrapped in the game. You start the game with some obscene amount of money and in the fist “star” you’re limited to building business and lobby space. After you achieve a 2 star rating you can build hotel and shops etc.
Fun but not overly complicated, people come no matter what you do or the how long the wait is to catch a ride to any given floor. If things get too bad you may have to lower prices to keep people in hotel rooms or office spaces happy. The things I didn’t enjoy about the game: not enough variation in the stuff you can put in your tower, the other thing was the inability to go into debt with no debt and tons of weekly income and even nightly income from hotel you can beat a game of Sim Tower in like 4 hours tops by finish I mean reach the maximum height of 100 floors and have a raging economy that allows you do advance to 5 stars and build a cathedral on the top of your colossal tower.
That’s it then you’re done, I suppose you could save up some money and delete the tower and try to start again but you might just start a new game instead. The end isn’t really cool or exciting and the cathedral doesn’t do any thing so its kind of a disappointment but hey it was only a 2.5 MB game made in 95’. This game beats all other Sim games save for the Sim city series. Sim farm, prison, ant etc. fail in comparison to this game.
Overall I love the game and hope that one day they come out with a new Sim tower where you have to design the streets around your tower as well as run water lines, electricity, low-income housing, soup kitchens, daycares and car dealerships. I want to have the sim tower that is the freaking world trade centers (pre 9/11.)
