Yoot Towers, part two of SimTower, which outshines the latter by leaps and bounds. More interesting shops, three different starting locations-though I start always in Japan (closest to the original 100 story limit). Parodies of famous people show up and if they like your tower, it is upgraded, eventually to the max of 5ive stars. Here's a hint, once they hint that the VIP is coming, build whatever store they want to visit as close to the lobby as possible. To pass the grade, you can't have the VIP taking three or four different elevators to get to the store they want to visit.
The game has a great business sim feel about it, meaning if you build too much too fast, before you see millions, you're gonna be negative and broke and board. So keep the building slow and steady. But I have found once you do have millions falling out of your pockets the game gets a little drowsy.
As far as compatibility, works great on XP and ME (my laptop). Though a message does pop up the first time you play mentioning that the color setting might cause a problem... no problem so far. If you have primitive machines this game will work on anything and keep you amused at the same time.
You can build a mixed building. If you build condos, keep in mind, the sim folks buy the condo and as far as I can tell never give you another cent for it. Offices are great but complain about each other, so I wouldn't recommend 100% offices. I have found that five floors of offices and the rest hotel is a sure key to make loot in yoot towers. Shops have a tough time at the start, people do visit your tower for the shops, but not a ton of people at first. I fill in the first level and wait until I am two or three stars before expanding the shops, as tower manager you pay the rents on these. Also, a tip from a Tower manager that took me time to finally turn to policy, skip a floor as a fire break. Fires do happen. Download it today, play it tonight and discover the vertical simcity.
