Princess Maker 2

Personally, I did not find any interesting stuffs about this games when I first played it with my old and slow computer. I believe this game was released in 1996 by Gainax. When I first play this game, it seemed to me that it was just like playing a Barbie doll in the computer together with some boring stuffs like assigning tasks and do all this and that scheduling.

Thus, at first, I was disappointed. I did not play it for quite sometimes.
One day, I saw my sister took my Princess Maker 2 diskettes and played in her computer (faster one). She became addicted to the game. I was wondering if I was putting the judgment too quick or maybe this game is only suitable to certain people. To find out that, I looked at how my sister manage to play this game over and over again.
Finally, I realized I was just about to miss something that is completely different from anything I have ever played before. This game is VERY, VERY addictive. Combine both my sister's records and my records; this game has at least 70 different endings. Amazing right? I can't believe it sometimes. Maybe it was just my miss calculation or else.
In the game Princess Maker 2, you are an adventurer helping the King to fight back the Demon Lord. However, your job is not to fight small monsters, level up, and earn money. Your yearly salary is about 500 Gold coins from the King. Meanwhile, your job is not to complete quest nor find treasures and magical weapons or amours either. Instead of that, your job is to raise a child (girl) that is given from the Divine God Himself. What the child will be in the future is all depend on you.
In detail, your job is making her monthly schedules and she will do just exactly what you want her to do. Basically, you have many options for her, such as send her to school (study science, magic, fighting, and so on) or let her adventure the land or else. But remember that you have limited money to spend on her. So, you can set the schedule for her to do some works and earn a bit of gold coins to support some of her expenses. Every single thing or task you make for her will determine her fate in the future. Your job ends when she is 18 years old and capable to make her own decision. She can become an adventurer just like you, or a thief, a magician, a princess, or else. That's just too many endings in this game.
Over all, I would say this game really is so much fun to play with.
