This is by far one the best games out there. When I first played it I was blown away by the number of things that you can actually control. SimFarm is truly one of the best Sim games out there even today. There are numerous different things that one can do and accomplish. You can decide to raise livestock or grow crops or do both. The level of things to do is amazing. There are plenty of upgrades available to keep things interested and make your everyday farming easier one you. There are several different crops that you can choose from including strawberries, apples, oranges, etc. It all depends on the climate that you choose to start your farm on.
There are plenty of different animals that one can choose to raise from cows to sheep to horses even to a county fair prize winning pig, the possibilities are endless! You can even expand your farm and take over the entire county. There are many different pieces of equipment that can be purchased also. Have two tractors to help or borrow one from a neighbor or save up and buy a huge convoy of them it’s all possible with SimFarm. Watch your livestock grow right before your eyes as the mate and breed offspring. It is important to keep an eye on them as you will need to make sure they always have adequate food and water or they will go looking for it, in your crop fields!
But do not take your eyes off of your crops or they will vanish to. Make sure you supply them with enough water as you can cause them to die from drought or from over watering. It is equally important to what the weather so you as a farm can make the necessary precautions for your crops. Weather is not the only factor that can ruin your crop yield you must watch out for pest as well. Knowing what types of pesticide to use and when to use pesticide and fertilizer are important. If you have a big farm it would be wise to obtain a crop duster and take care of a big problem that way. But be careful you don’t lose control and crash into your prized livestock or you could be out of luck. All this and more are waiting for you out on the farm, so get up early, grab some breakfast and your boots as you head out the door because you have a long day ahead of you on the Farm!

Who needs to farm in real life, unless you own a farm and need? It’s hard to get started but you soon will get the hang of it. You see you need to manage a farm while watching your income. You will have to buy the necessary farming equipment to have a successful farm. You have a variety of crops you can plant such as corn, oranges, and potatoes and a lot more. This is one of the old classics that will get you hooked for hours on end. It can also be easy to understand for some people. Sim Farm is one of those games that you pick up you can’t put it down, something like a slot machine, because when you start you can’t stop playing. That’s what happened to me one time.
The game is very good for a DOS game and it’s one of the best farm based tycoons out, it was the only one the last time I checked. Now there’s also the fact that the wind and rain and temp can mess you up. Be sure to find a region that has the right temp and rain fall. Wind can cause erosion and make the game a lot harder. When you buy animals you will need a farm to keep them in and not out.
It’s crazy that they made the best tycoons on DOS, with this being one of them. Sim Farm will keep you very busy, as you have to make sure you don’t run out of money, make sure your animals don't run away, and make sure that your crops are not dieing. The kinds of machinery will help you earn more money a lot faster. A quick tip from me is to start with small money crops until you can get more stuff then start getting the better ones. This is a very realistic game due to the fact of all the stuff that a real farmer would do. This is one of the best games on DOS and I’m sure it will keep you up at night wondering if your animals are ok. But you don’t have to worry about that. The game keeps going when it’s off. So if your wanting to do some farming with out having to buy a farm house some where in the country I’m sure you will enjoy this game. I’m sure and it taught me on how to farm out in the felids and stuff. So if you are looking for a very realistic game of farming I’m sure that Sim Farm is the perfect game for you to play. I’m sure you will love it.
