This is a awesome game! I never knew there was a prequel to Theme Park World and Theme Park Inc, untill I found it on a FTP server. The intention of the game is to build a big themepark, with all kind of shops, playground and other buildings where the visitors of your themepark can have some fun.
The graphics are very good. There's an intro which is nice to look at, but it will get bored because it takes some time before you can start playing the game.
The gameplay is also very good, although it might get a little irritating if you play it too long in DOSbox.
If you like Rollercoaster Tycoon, Theme Park World or Theme Park Inc, you should try this game. It's 10 Mb, but it's worth the download.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online I must say that Sim Theme Park is one of the best games I have ever played. I’m pretty sure that it came out some time in 1992, but the graphics and plot of this game was well for its time. I remember being a little girl and having my dad pop this into the computer and let me sit there for hours and play the game. I love to loose track of time playing this game, because it’s just one of those games that you just have to keep playing because you can’t get too much of it. From hiring help from janitors to clean up the vomit from one of the sick kids, making sure that the fry shop doesn’t have to much salt on the product, ice cream store doesn’t have to much sugar, the side show games you can actually win at, to doing research to find better funnier rides shops and games.
If you think you want to go into own a company some day try to play this game. You can go bankrupt and loose everything you built and had. From the beginning you are hooked with a catchy little movie like story and then into a full world of bright colours and opportunities.
Like most sim games you have to have some sort of a plan and you have to be dedicated to play, because it just draws you right in.
