This is the Italian version of Nibbles, it looks almost identical to the normal Nibbles that came with QBasic, however, this version according to the author is written in Borland Pascal 7. Also you can only play in two player mode, the object is to survive longer than your opponent. Eat numbers, grow longer, and pass levels along the way.
If you like Nibbles and have a buddy to play against, this is the right game for you.
Reviewer: jaypup I played Nibbles over ten years ago when I was in high school. The game is pretty basic, you use the arrow keys to guide your snake thing around the screen and eat numbers that appear in the playing field. In some versions of the game it’s not a number that appears but some other icon of some sort.
The gameplay it still the same. You only have to eat the numbers and avoid crashing into the walls or other obstacles. Also, the more you eat the longer your snake grows so eventually you are your own worst obstacle. The computers I played the game on had a turbo button on them and if I pressed that it would make the game run ten times faster. Which pretty much made it impossible to play, but it is still fun. I never got that far because the gameplay does get a little boring after awhile, assuming you’re that good at it. I never got passed eating like ten numbers or whatever.
There is a multiplayer mode in some versions with the other player using the ASDW keys to guide their snake. Then you have competition of course and another moving obstacle to avoid. Two local players max though, it is not a network capable game as far as I know.
All in all, nice retro game for a true fans. Download Nibbles (nibbles.zip)
