This game is like Nibbles, except you're not limited to 45 degree angles, you eat pizza instead of numbers, and the graphics are way better! Guide your worm around the pizza parlor and eat lots of pizza. The more pizza you eat the longer you get. The game is over when you die either by crashing into yourself or a wall.
This is version 1.2 of Pizza Worm. There is a newer version (2.1G) but in my experience this version is more stable and reliable (the gameplay is not that much different anyway).

Pizza Worm is a game designed in the same style of many worm themed games, such as the popular one on many early cell phones. In the cell phone version of this game, you, the worm, can only travel at ninety degree angles. This version, Pizza Worm, is upgraded in that you can travel at any angle you wish. Some people find this improved directional range to be more difficult and some find the restricted ninety degree angle only method to be more difficult. Either way, the game is still the same model.
The basic premise is that you are a multi colored worm in a pizza parlor, or at least a multi colored worm with a pizza parlor in the background. Your objective is to move around this backdrop and consume the pizzas that randomly appear on the screen. The more pizzas that you eat, the longer your worm will become.
Simple as this game may be, it is still fun. Like many of the similar worm themed games, you can not touch the walls or the top or bottom of the screen. In the event that you do touch one of these boundaries, you lose and have to start the game over. Your worm goes back to the original length, and you have to work your way up from the shortest length collecting pizzas. Similar to the fact that you lose if you hit the top, bottom, left, or right side of the screen, you as the worm can not run into yourself. If you do, you will lose. You control the worm's front end and attempt to pilot yourself toward the pizza on the screen. After you eat the pizza, your worm becomes longer and another pizza appears. The more pizzas you eat, and the longer your worm becomes, and the more difficult the game becomes.
The main option that the player has control over is what difficulty to play the game on. The higher difficulty that you choose, the faster your worm will travel at all lengths. As you can imagine, a fast traveling worm in an increasingly small space can be difficult to master. A factor of the game to remember is that the worm does not operate like a semi truck or a car pulling a trailer that would cut corners, the back of the worm travels in the exact same past or footprint as the head. Overall, if you really enjoy worm themed games, you will enjoy this one. With clever sound effects thrown in, as well as a background better than a blank screen, Pizza Worm will help you pass time at work or wait while something downloads.
