This game is one-of-a-kind. What you have to do is guide a guy through a pathway, trying to avoid the robots. You have the ability to make and remove roadblocks in order to outmaneuver the robots.
Playing this requires a massive amount of brain power, concentration, and patience. This game might be very irritating if you're not much into these kinds of games. Also the interface is somewhat counter-intuitive, and the viewing area and controls are rather awkward.
Unless you're one of the few that enjoy games that are hard to figure out, don't download this.
Reviewer: cdippel I remember playing this game when I was a lot younger, back in the early nineteen nineties. When I was a kid, I was entranced by the intricacies of this game, from its better than normal graphics (it was 3D at a time when 3D was deemed by many to be impossible), the vivid colors, and the thrilling game play. After recently discovering this game on my old computer, and playing it again after years of playing newer and better games on computer and consoles, I found that the same things that drew me in hold true today, with the special emphasis being on the puzzling aspects of the game and the action element, which are still as playable and enjoyable today as they were all those years ago. For those of you out there who still enjoy the classics, this game will certainly butter your bread. Sure, it may seem extremely outdated these days in the world of blu-ray Play Station three’s and crystal clear, life like graphics, and with consoles like the Nintendo Wii offering more interactive playing experiences, but the nostalgic effect of whipping out the old keyboard and mouse and seeing the opening title screen for Moraff’s Entrapp are still up there on my list of most memorable gaming experiences. The plot of this game is fairly simple and linear, to the point where many today would consider it crude and outdated: Essentially, players must avoid the evil robots who are chasing you through a labyrinth-esque maze. Each level gets progressively more difficult, with the robots getting smarter and the mazes getting more difficult to navigate. For those who played the Windows game Rodents Revenge, this game play may seem similar, for the game uses the same basic concept of evasion and entrapment. In each level, the player can use his powers to create traps around the robots, “entrapping” them – hence, the name of the game. Strategy is the key in this game, for brash actions committed without thinking lead to many lost lives and frustration, while those who think out their plans and make sound approaches come out ahead. Would I play this game for hours on end in today’s world? Not a chance. I did as a kid, but this game is good in doses. Bored? Try this game for a half hour or so. More fun then Solitaire, Minesweeper, and Hearts, and a nice lesson in the advancement of computer technology for such an old game, Moraff’s Entrapment is a nice break from the fast paced world outside and a good chance to stretch out your brain’s strategic side a bit.
