This game is based on the classic game called Tron. You control a colored line, the object is to avoid crashing the moving end of your line into another player's line or the wall. Supports 4 players, human or computer.
Indeed this is a very simple but challenging game.
Reviewer: geogydrecel VGATRON is a really basic game. All you have to do to be any good at it is to be quick on your feet and knowledgeable about your surroundings in the game. The graphics are rather basic, but what do you expect from a remake of a classic game as such. You might recognize this game if you're ever played Tron or games that look similar to that. The good thing about this is it does support two to four players be they computers or human.
Game play: Basically all you have to do in this game is make sure you don't hit the other lines. Your line is moving along and you try and make the other players either run into your line or another line so they are eliminated.
All in all, it’s just a basic game that takes your time and gives some fun.
Reviewer: martyp30 Here we have VGATRON, a classic game. Hardly a rival to the movie itself. This game emulates the cycle races featured in the movie "Tron". Though it doesn’t seem half as good as the movie. It’s still a good simple game.
Don't confuse a simple game, with an easy one, though. Or VGATRON will bite you in the hind. Though its interface and controls are quite easy (it may be suggested to use a slow down system for older games. Or VGATRON becomes quite lightning fast, even on the earliest of levels, on a side note), its degree of challenge is there.
This isn’t a game that you don’t pay attention to, or your rival will have you beat in an instant. A solid game that takes concentration, focus, and a bit of old fashioned luck. If you can hack that, and enjoy a good challenge, even though the graphics may be quite simple as it were. Then VGATRON is definitely for you.
Truly one of the classic kinds of games that were the pioneers that paved the way for PSX and PS2 to come to be. So if you're wondering what gamers were doing back in the day? How they got their game on, in the arcade, on the ole home PC (which is nothing like what we now have. Just a side note for the younger). Then checking out this game, and other like it. Is a good way of seeing just how many leaps and bounds we've made?
So play VGATRON, for the challenge, for the novelty. All in all, good game. A challenge for most gamers. Download VGATRON (vgatron.zip)
