The gameplay in this game is pretty much identical to JezzBall, found in the Windows Entertainment Pack. The object is to draw straight lines without letting the lines touch the bouncing balls. As you successfully draw lines, the playing field gets smaller and smaller. When you make the field small enough, you go on to the next level, each new level has more balls than the last.
If your line hits the ball while you're making it, you lose one "life". When you lose all the lives, the game is over.

In comparison to the Windows Jezzball, this game measures up quite well, and has a larger screen and much better graphics. If you like Windows JezzBall, download this game now. Even if you didn't play Windows JezzBall before, this game is still worth a try for its simplicity and challenge.

SpaceBall is a mildly amusing quick-witted game in which the player is required to draw lines across the screen without letting the ball, which is constantly in motion, hit or touch the lines in any way. After each line is complete, without interference from the ball, your screen will shrink and limit your playing space, thus greatly increasing the risk of a ball hitting your lines.

After your screen has shrunk enough, it's on to the next level for you, and with each higher level, you will receive a gift of more balls. As the level increases, so does the difficulty. If you are in the process of drawing a line and the ball hits it, you will lose one life. As with most games, once you lose all your allotted lives, the game is over.

This is a fun little game that was created for the challenge. You must exert a certain amount of brainpower to successfully position your lines in such a way they will remain unmolested. It can be very addicting. There is something so utterly appealing in trapping that annoying little ball within it's horizontal and vertical prison. The feeling of victory that surges through you whenever you reach a new level may be a bit over-the-top for such a simplistic game, but it is pleasing none the less.

SpaceBall provides a great distraction during short work breaks or extra time on a computer. It has proven, to me at least, to be a great stress reliever on hectic or down days. However, like any games, it does have it's bad merits. If you have a short temper or attention span, the game can quickly grow frustrating or monotonous. You may find yourself glaring at the screen, stabbing out the required lines with forceful clicks of the mouse. And although graphics aren't anything to write home about and you may find them incredibly last century, I must admit they do suit the simple style of this particular game quite well.

All in all, I would certainly recommend SpaceBall to my fellow online gamers. This game has merit, folks. Give it a try and you will see what I am talking about. If you are someone fruitlessly searching the web, Googling "Online Games", look no further. Download this game and you will be provided with hours of entertainment.
