In Simon the Sorcerer you are Simon. Simon has to get a gemstone and a grappling hook out of a cave and he also needs to get a container of stew somewhere. As you might have expected, you need to do these things.
The graphics of this game are absolute excellent. A lot of colours and the environment is painted very well. For the rest this might be a nice game to play, though I don't know how far you can solve the quest in this demo version.

Simon the Sorcerer one of the timeless classic games of the original windows program. Must admit not one of my faves though. Kinda rocky at first the story line is extremely slow and the controls are horrid. But for the time period the games graphical quality are stupendous. Any player actually looking to play a game that is fun as long as you don’t mind taking a long learning curve to learn it I highly recommend this game to anyone.
Simon is a sorcerer who is sent out by his master as an apprentice to find the mastery ball he encounters different monsters on the way and loves to have fun good humor in the game as well as masterful sound quality that you rarely found in those times and masterful color. If you have kids this is a fun loving game for them as well once again as a stated before the controls are horrid so you would have to teach them some. Simon the sorcerer is all and all a good game my only highly discriminating complaint that I would have against it is that the game is extremely short and yawny and by yawny I mean at points in the story extremely boring but in its defense does pick right back up and gets on with the action.
And continues on with its fascinating storyline as a courageous young youth encounters minions and treachery. The puzzles in the game are fabulous and sometimes extremely mind boggling and really take some thought for you to actually figure out and that to me is something that you don’t find in videogames anymore know they are all simply made and just focus on the graphics and cool special effects that to me is pure ignorance and completely defeats the purpose of videogames in the first place. I mean why make a puzzle games and then tell you how to solve it right? That’s just my opinion I guess. Anyway on with the review.
Simon the sorcerer is actually a good game worth any good gamers time be advised though some of the puzzles will have you stuck for hours but the hours are fun. Anyway you have got to see what happens when you beat the game so hang in there and keep on trying to solve the mystery you can help Simon prevail you can overcome the dark forces behind the deception you can achieve wizardry and be a great sorcerer in yourself maybe even the beast!!!
