Powball is one of the first break-out game I enjoyed to play. You can earn money by playing (and finishing) a level. With this money you can buy stuff like bullts, extra balls and some other things which you can use in the next level.
Because of its nice graphics and good gameplay, this game might be a lot of fun to play. If you're a break-out fan, you should really try this game. Even in Windows XP it works fine with the mouse.

Powball is a breakout clone that attempts to add a nice twist to the popular breakout clone. It comes with 100 levels of pure arcade fun. Also, there are enemies which if hit or destroyed, release gems or rings. After you destroyed all the breakable bricks, you come with an army full of asteroids and you have to shot your way past the asteroids and into the shop. During the shop, you can sell the gems for money and use them to buy weapons and items. When you're in the shop, you can save (F2) your progress so, you do not need to start over when you lose all your lives. Leave the shop and into the next level and so on and so on.
The breakout genre was always great, but with weapons and items in the game, it adds to the fun to the game.
Powball is a great breakout clone and in my opinion, it is one of the best breakout games ever included. So, if you have the chance, try it out and you'll like it. A must-have for breakout fans!
