If you like boardgames but you can't find anyone to play it with you, you should try Yahtzee DeLuxe. You can play the game against the computer or against a multiplayer. Just click on the cubes to let them roll and see if you can win from the computerplayer.

This game called Yahtzee Deluxe was written by a programmer from Canada, and is a computer version of the dice game Yahtzee. In this game you can play on your own, and against up to four people. The program is really simple; you will not be able to do anything else but play the game. By that I mean you will have a pointer, and the program will move the pointer to the area of the screen where you are supposed to click, and you will have to click before you can continue.

As far as the game, it is really fun, but nothing that needs a computer really. You can play on your own with five dice if you do not mind writing your scores and adding them. I recommend downloading it if you are bored. Give it a try. It’s actually way more fun if you play with other people. Plus, while the computer it not necessary to enjoy this classic game, it is very handy to have all the cumbersome scoring done for you.

GAME: in this game you only have five dice. The point of the game is getting different kinds of combinations of numbers. There will be a sort of spreadsheet where the program keeps your scores, and you get to pick what category you want your combination to go. The simplest combinations are series of the same number: from one to five times the same number. You also look for these, on a separate category:
-3 of a kind
-4 of a kind
-Full house (2 of a kind + 3 of a kind)
-Short straight (1,2,3,4 or 2,3,4,5 or 3,4,5,6)
-Long straight (1,2,3,4,5)
-Yahtzee (five of a kind)

Strategy: the game allows for some strategic play, because you get to choose what category your dice fit into. Say for example you get this combination: 1,1,6,6,6; in this case, you can write 36 points on the 6-series box, or certain amount of points for a full house, or 2 points for the 1-series, etc. So you can leave room for different combinations, trying to get the most points out of each throw and every turn. You are allowed three rolls per turn and are able to save out dice to try for combinations.

Graphics: really good for an old game like this. Plus better graphics wouldn't make the game any better.
Again, this game is lots of fun to play with other people, and somewhat fun to play on a pc. Good classic game, definitely give it a try!
