The intention of Speedkar is to pick up all the flags in the level. But there are several other cars that want to kill you by driving against you. It isn't a great game at all, the graphics are crap and it's not really fun to play.

The object of the game is rather simple and doesn't take a genius to work out. You are a little car, more like a little formula 1 car with big black tires.
The beauty of this game is that you can smoke screen the enemy cars and avoid being caught. But that's no easy task as the further you go in the game the quicker they go and the more there are of them to catch you.. What makes the game that little more harder is the fact that it's done in a way that you can't see the whole circuit, so you hope to god that the way you are going there is no dead end at the other end.
The gameplay is simple and addictive. The controls are very responsive and simple to master. The sound is fine too.
Overall, great game that brings back memories, a must for retro fans out there.

When a programmer combines the classic concept of cat and mouse with the video gaming favorite theme of capture the flag, the result is a fun little action game such as Speedkar. Everything about Speedkar screams classic. It features classic arcade action reminiscent of the old console games, and the graphics are similar to those styles of games, as well.
The game board is a large, green maze with a fairly quick scroll. The user is the pilot or driver of a small, yellow, Formula One style of open-wheeled race car. He always begins in the same spot on the maze, but the maze is different every time the game begins. It will have long, straight runs where the gamer can really show off his speed, and also many tight short chutes that will require more dexterity to navigate. The power ups, which will be discussed later, are never in the same place twice, so making a bolt for something that helped you in the previous game may net you a pile of trouble in the current game.
The bonuses in the game, which do appear in random areas, have many fun purposes. One of the most important item the gamer will have to acquire from the maze is the fuel bonus power up, and he will have to mind his total fuel consumption on the information console to the right of the maze. Aside from general fuel consumption, the user will go through more fuel at high rates of speeds, and can also expend a little extra fuel to create a type of smoke screen when he is fleeing from the enemy. Running out of fuel means instant death. Fuel is definitely the most important bonus item, but there are also coins that add points. Not all of the items that the user will see pictured on the screen will be helpful. There are also land mines and stones that will destroy the user’s little car if the gamer passes over it. The overall point of each level is to pass over the little flags in the maze and advance to the next level of the game.
The greatest tool for the user will be the information console on the right of the screen. It shows a miniature of the map so that the user will be able to quickly plan out his courses and keep one eye on the little enemies that relentlessly pursue him. It is one of the things that makes the game more playable, and also different from other classic cat and mouse games, such as Pac Man. It is a fun little play.
