A real classic game remade by PLBM Games. You are the frog and you have to go to the swamp at the other side of you screen. I know, it sounds very easy. But on your way to the swamp you'll have to pass some obstacles. On the streets are a lot of cars that will collide your frog. If you crossed the street there's another obstacle. The deep pool. You can cross it by jumping on the trees that float in the pool. And if you finally came to the swamp, your last obstacle is a crocodile. It will come up out of the pool sometimes, but just wait untill he's gone and you reached the swamp.

Revenge of Froggie is a simple, but classic game. You are Froggie, in a dangerous world, and needing to find your way back to safety. The primary obstacles are a busy four lane road, and a deep pool of water. Cars on the road come from both directions, and must be avoided to prevent Froggie from getting squashed. The pool is too difficult for little Froggie to swim through, so he must get across by hopping on the backs of turtles, or on floating logs – he also must stay on the screen, or he will get too far away from the swamp. The ultimate goal is to bring five frogs back to the safety of the swamp on each level. The graphics are very basic, but are good enough for purposes of the game. Sound effects are pretty limited, and could be a bit more interesting, but for a game made in 1990, it’s not too bad.
There are several other additions to the game play, which make it a little more interesting. On occasion, a snake will be present in the grass between the road and the pond. If the snake’s head attacks Froggie, he will be eaten; however passing the tail only is usually harmless. Crocodiles in the swamp also pose a threat to the little frog, and will be happy to eat Froggie if he is trying to take shelter when the crocodile is out of the water. This becomes more difficult to avoid when the water starts moving faster on higher levels.
Froggie can also pick up what is presumably a female frog on some levels while crossing the water. She is also constrained to the backs of turtles or floating logs, but does not move from the log or set of turtles she floats on. By bringing her back to safety, Froggie earns extra points. Additional bonus points can also be earned if there is a fly sitting in the swamp when Froggie arrives. These little bonuses keep you jumping while there is also a race for time.
Although quite simple, Revenge of Froggie is one of those games that can keep you busy for a while – always knowing that you could go faster, or get all the perks along the way to get a maximum score. It’s great for kids, since it is relatively easy, using only the arrow keys to navigate, and also nostalgic for many others. Due to its simplicity, the game size is small, and the run speed is almost never affected.
