In Quarantine, you're a cabdriver who just escaped from prison. Your task is to bring as much people to their destination as possible, so you can earn money to upgrade your car. You can also do underground missions which will help you to get a way out of the city. There's a gun on your cab to defend yourself.
The game is quite cruel. While you're driving in your car, you can hit people who're walking on the side of the road.
If you did that, you'll see blood on your front window. You can also shoot on other cabs so they will burn.
The graphics are nice, the gameplay too. You can use the arrow keys of your keyboard to control the car. I don't know if there are any sounds, at least I can't hear them.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online For the gamer who is a fan of seemingly senseless, wild violence Quarantine is an excellent option for download. It is organized carnage, but carnage, at its best. Imagexel developed this cyberpunk shooter and it was released for play on the personal computer by GameTek, Incorporated in the middle nineties. It is a combination of shooting and driving, which all takes place in the first person perspective. It was popular enough to spawn a sequel, subtitled the Road Warrior.
This game could almost be considered a precursor to similar driving games of a more modern era, such as the Grand Theft Auto series. The user will have to senselessly run over or fire upon everything in his path, from innocent pedestrians to the standard inanimate objects that are littered about the nasty streets of Kemo City. The user plays the part of struggling cab driver, who has to pick up numerous fares and try to make a living in the nasty city. The game is mission based, and the missions are varied in nature, generally having to do with picking up some really weird fares and taking them where they need to go, often shooting your way through some tough areas. Of course, the plot is somewhat nonlinear, and the user has the freedom to ignore it completely and just make his way around the environments killing things and leaving a blood bath in his trail.
The user will have the option of using the money he makes by delivering his fares to upgrade his vehicle. Obviously, one of the greatest upgrades will be weaponry, since this is a cyber shooter. The flame thrower is one of the most destructive and crazy weapons for its cost. There are many other options for guns, however, and the user can choose whatever he can afford. Sometimes the killing spree will have to come to a halt in order to pick up a fare and gain a little more cash with which to afford a much desired cannon.
So, overall, this is a violent, nonsensical little game that is nothing short of action packed and thrilling. There is no shortage of destruction and carnage, and the user isn’t going to have to worry about taking a breather to think and strategize. It is all about shooting and driving fast. This is a no-brainer game, but fun none the less.
