Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online The game was first released in 1992 for the PC and the Amiga. The game was developed by Red Rat Software. In the game, Curly the dog goes in a craze after having eaten Quavers. You will play the role of ant in the game. As you try to rescue the dog you witness how his Quavers fall into your man hole. Now you need to get Curly’s Quavers so you go inside the ant hole. When you get inside you are faced with a challenge—a domino puzzle. You will need to push the dominoes once and attempt to topple them all with just that single push. Some puzzles have special moves so that definitely adds to the game’s difficulty level. You need to figure out a strategy so that you can get all the dominoes to fall over even with the special dominoes in the puzzles.
These are the special dominoes: the tumbler, the bridger, the ascender, the splitter, the trigger, the delay and the stopper. A tumbler will continue to tumble until it hits another domino. The bridger creates connections between dominoes. The ascender helps reach dominoes that are out of reach. The splitter divides into two forming two paths for the domino fall. The delay domino stops for a few seconds and the stopper completely stops or bounces off whatever is in its path.
When you push the domino and all the dominoes to fall down, the door to the next level will open. If you get crushed by a domino, run out of time or if two dominoes get stuck then you will lose a life and become unsuccessful in finishing the level. The game becomes more and more difficult as you advance in levels. There are times when clues will appear on the screen and you can finish the level without pushing the dominoes. You can move some of the domino pieces while the others are falling but you must be careful not to be crushed by the dominoes. You are awarded tokens for every level that you complete. After going through all the levels you will find the Quavers and bring them back to Curly.
This is the kind of game that the whole family can enjoy because it’s puzzle-based. Kids and adults alike will surely have fun with the game. I suggest you download it now and give it a try, you might just enjoy it. Download Pushover - pushover.zip
